Kara Goldin: CEO, Hint Water

Kara Goldin is the founder and CEO of Hint Inc, which produces all-natural fruit-essence waters with zero calories, zero diet sweeners, zero sugar,a nd sero preservatives.  Since its launch in 2005, Hint has become a recognized leader in the beverage industry, collecting numerous industry and consumer accolades and triumphantly changing the notion that drinks must contain sugar or diet sweeteners to have market appeal.  Before founding Hint, Goldin was the vice president of shopping and e-commerce at AOL. 

Maia Bittner: Co-Founder & CTO, Rocksbox

Maia Bittner has worked at a handful of startups including Spock, a people search engine acquired by Intelius, and Hubspot, a marketing automation company that recently had its IPO. She holds a BSc in Engineering: Cognitive Science from teh new and innovative Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, and likes to use information about the way our brains work to design intuitive user interfaces. 

Susan G Duffy, Executive Director, Center for Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership (MODERATOR)

Susan Duffy is the Executive Director of the Center for Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) at Babson College.  Before joining Babson, Susan was an assistant professor at Simmon College where she launched the undergraduate program in entrepreneurship and was named the 2011 "Professor of the Year."  From 2004-2007, she was a member of the GWU Department of Management faculty where she served as Executive Director of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) and founded the GWU Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) initiative.  Susan has designed and taught courses in entrepreneurship, management, and organizational behavior and is committed to creating learning experiences that change lives.  Before entering academia Susan was the co-owner of a commercial construction company and owned and operated the Ho-Lee-Chow Chinese Food franchise restaurant.  Susan earned her Ph.D. from the George Washington University (GWU) in Management and Organization, a Master's Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science from the Pennsylvania State Unviersity.
