You are Invited!

Join afterschool professionals in Iowa from all areas and levels of expertise - coordinators, administrators, front-line staff, educators, volunteers and others - for our 3rd Annual Conference on April 23 and 24, 2015 for a day and a half of professional development and networking.

There is no other conference like it in Iowa, and it is our once-a-year opportunity to get together, exchange ideas and meet peers from all over the state!

Various professional development topics will be featured and there will be something of interest for all.

A sample of topics includes the following: Making literacy an integral part of your program, exploring STEM, investing in family engagement, implementing project-based learning, integrating cultural-competency, access and equity in the afterschool environment, cultivating curiosity, summer reading intervention, principals' perspective, breaking the barriers of poverty, quality, engagement, belonging, mentoring, communicating with children and youth, telling your program's story, as well as 21-CCLC specific sessions and best practices, and much more! As usual, special activity opportunities will be offered.

Exclusive: This year, we are featuring an interactive, day-long, STEM pre-conference focused on how to facilitate STEM, proven best-practice ideas and curricula suggestions. This exclusive pre-conference session will be of limited space, so look for more details to come soon and register as soon as possible to secure your spot.

There will also be a post-conference session with a national author and parent educator, also with limited capacity. More information will be released soon. We are excited for what this conference will have to offer!
