Empty Bowls 2015 - Youth United Way
Youth United Way (a group of 8-12 grade students) has been preparing for the 13th annual Empty Bowls for months. Now they need you to support their efforts!
Empty Bowls will be held at Stillwater Area High School again this year from 5-7pm. The event consists of a simple meal of soup and bread, donated by restaurants in the community. This simple meal is meant to raise awareness and represent the meals some of our struggling community members have each night.
The event also features a silent auction and pottery bowls from local artists who donated their hard work to help this group raise awareness of the struggling youth in our community. The "empty" bowls go home with guests as a reminder of hunger within our community, and 100% of the proceeds go towards supporting local hunger programs, youth programs, and food shelves.
