February 8 Soirée Special House Concert:
Winter Notes

Join Stephanie and pianist Gregory Allen in a program that will warm up your winter with romantic fires.

The renowned Austin pianist Gregory Allen joins Stephanie for an afternoon of exquisite music making. Grand Prize Winner of the 1980 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv, Gregory also has received top honors in the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, the Washington International Competition, and the Gina Bachauer Competition. Gregory has soloed with such orchestras as the New York, Los Angeles and Israel Philharmonics, and is a celebrated chamber artist.

Repertoire for violin and piano will include Richard Strauss' romantic Sonata in E-flat and Ken Benshoof's playfully jazzy Four Diversions, along with short and exciting works for solo violin by Paganini, Mamlok and Bacewicz.

Please join us for a wonderful afternoon of inspired music making, a buffet of hearty appetizers and delicious desserts . . . with fine wine and conversation to add to the afternoon's delights.
