**NEW** ROMEO ANEJO by Romeo y Julieta

A new cigar from Altadis U.S.A., the Romeo Anejo by Romeo y Julieta, contains a series of vintage-specific, aged tobaccos. An offshoot of the popular Romeo by Romeo y Julieta line, which debuted in 2011 (the Piramide size by the Cigar Aficionado No. 3 spot on their annual top 25 list of 2012), the Romeo Anjeo was blended to be a darker and richer complement to its acclaimed predecessor.
True to its name (anejo is Spanish for "old" or "aged"), the Romeo Anejo features a variety of vintage tobaccos all with specific age statements. According to Altadis, the vintage blend consists of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler from 2009 aged in cedar, a Dominican Olor binder from a 2008 harvest, and a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper from 2010.
While the original Romeo by Romeo y Julieta was created as a stronger, more complex alternative to milder non-cuban Romeo y Julietas (which use an Indonesian wrapper and mellow Dominican tobaccos), the Anejo series strives to ahieve an even more robust and sophisticated flavor profile.  The Anejo comes in three standard sizes: Toro (6 x 54), Robusto (5 x 54), and Piramides (6 1/8 x 52).
