Just in time for tax season, CalAPA brings you tax experts to help you avoid problems with state and federal tax collectors. Matt Gilbert and Chris Gewain (pictured at left), with new CalAPA member Moss Adams, LLP, will present on the topic, "Best Practices to prepare for getting your company's financial 
statements and income taxes completed in a timely manner, as well as 2014 hot-button issues."
The presentation will include vital information on:
- Managing your accountants to get the most of the relationship
- Working with your accountant to meet the demands of your bank and bonding company
- Tax Strategies to reduce your tax liability and provide more cash flow for bidding on future jobs to get the competitive edge
In addition, the meeting will feature a "technical tidbit" from Steve Marvin from Labelle-Marvin, and the insurance update . A "Member of the Month" will also be highlighted.
The CalAPA Contractors' Dinner is the paving industry's premier event to socialize in a relaxed setting, enjoy delicious food and stay current with the latest industry trends, technical updates and more. Each dinner features a industry-specific presentation and "news you can use" on a number of topics, such as insurance, HR, technical aspects of paving and more.
