Our Women's Refuge needs your help!

The Manly Warringah Women's Resource Centre is our local refuge that looks after women and their children needing refuge from their domestic situation.

One of the items the refuge needs regularly is linen.

Each family that comes to them for help uses bed linen, towels and mattress protectors. These then stay with that family when they move on.

So we are having a linen drive:
till the end of March

We need your donations of new linen (single and double bed sizes) of sheets, pillowcases, mattress protectors, doonas for bedding.
Only new or barely used linen only PLEASE).

Drop off your donation to Warringah Mall Library (based at Warringah Mall) park directly on the roof top for easiest access.

Niki Berridge is described as: “engaging, intelligent and passionate about learning” so join us as she talks about “What’s Your Leadership I.D.?”

There are many different and successful leadership styles. Regardless of their style, successful leaders understand the importance of having a clear and consistent leadership identity which can really boost their career success and longevity. They have strong self-awareness, are responsible and are not afraid to be themselves. They don’t conform to the latest leadership thinking or models.
They know who they are, what they do and why they are doing it. That is they know their leadership ID. To help identify and refine your leadership id we will be joined in this highly interactive session by Niki Berridge, Senior Associate, Roar People.
Niki will share Roar People’s award winning research from Harvard University’s Institute of Coaching titled  “Understanding the Importance of Gender and Professional Identity in Developing Women Leaders” . The founder of Roar People, Suzi Skinner won first prize at the Institute’s 2012 conference. Niki will outline how to raise your awareness of what has shaped your leadership approach to date, “storying” yourself as a leader, and reframing your approach to leading in a compelling and authentic way.

The cost to attend is $45.00 which includes a beautiful lunch and a glass of bubbles to celebrate.

This event is open to men and women - and please remember to donate some fresh, new linen to our local Manly Warringah Women's Resource Centre.
(Details on how to donate is on the left hand panel)

If you are keen to explore strategies to build your leadership ID then have a look at the Leadership ID Self Insights Survey. This survey is based on Roar's research and the fee to complete it is $108+GST.
Once you have completed the report you are able to automatically download your results and review the 17 page report full of ideas to strengthen your leadership approach.
You will also be sent their Leadership ID e-book. You can access the survey at: http://www.roarpeople.com.au/leadership-self-assessment.html
