SPOTLIGHT  is a FREE event presented by Illinois PTA to CELEBRATE the children in our state.   This event is open to ALL CHILDREN and FAMILIES in Illinois. This afternoon of celebration, held on Millikin University's Campus in Decatur, Illinois, will open up the ARTS to children of all ages through the various Workshops available for them to participate in.  Adults and children alike will be inspired by the gallery displays of pieces created by Pre-K students through High School Seniors. SPOTLIGHT has something for everyone. Bring the whole family and help us celebrate our children and their contributions to the Arts and Community. 

The afternoon will include:

• Workshops for children and adults presented by faculty and students from Millikin University;
• An art gallery of almost 500 Reflections pieces presented alongside the work of university artists; and
• Reception with light refestments.

The culmination of the afternoon will be a ceremony recognizing:

• Students with Reflections pieces advancing to National PTA;
• Reflections students receiving Honorable mention Awards from Illinois PTA;
• Student Service Leader Award Recipient; and
• Illinois PTA Scholarship Winners.

We recommend that all guests pre-register for this event to ensure availability of workshops.  Many workshops offered have limited capacity and will not available for registration once maximum capacity is reached.  We encourage you to review the workshops offered prior to registering.
