To kick off the 2015 winter season the IFDA Philadelphia Chapter presents Wabi Sabi Spirit & Style.
Join us for this seminar presented by Susan Slotkis as she highlights....
the Japanese notion of imperfection as beauty. Discover the richness and spirit in the changing nature of patina, texture, transcendence, even decay.
Wabi Sabi is both a philosophy or world view and a design aesthetic. It is a feeling that can be hard to describe unless it's something you've experienced. Susan will help you experience this aesthetic through this unique seminar.
Susan Slotkis a fellow IFDA & ASID member of the New York City Chapters will present this unique design style seminar. This 1.5 hour comprehensive seminar has never been offered here in the Philadelphia market and with that we suggest you register today to secure your place!
We want to acknowledge and thank
the IFDA Educational Foundation
for the chapter grant received to make
this seminar possible for the
entire Philadelphia interior design community.

Foundations of Interior Design, 2nd Edition.
This is a comprehensive introduction to the creative, technical, and business knowledge required by the interior design profession. It encompasses color theory, design history, architectural elements, finishing touches, trend forecasting, and the basics of running a business. The book is rooted in a practical approach to creating safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing spaces for residential and contract clients. Current concerns such as social responsibility, sustainability, health, safety, welfare, and designing in a global, cultural context are woven throughout.
