Please join the University of Northern Iowa and the Community as we discuss a sustainable Cedar Valley and a sustainable world as well as the transformation needed to achieve it. Students, community, faculty and staff are invited to attend and contribute to this shared dialogue. The conference will feature nationally renowned livable/walkable communities’ speaker, Mr. Robert Ping.  He will also be doing a walk-around tour of downtown Waterloo the morning following the conference sessions.  Conference tracks will integrate the themes of local environmental equity and resilience around the topical areas of food, natural resources/energy, policy, and health.  Conference tracks will feature UNI and Cedar Valley experts and projects. The first day of the program will also conclude with an overview of campus facilities/projects that model sustainability practices, followed by a social hour.
