ISC Director Training Program (Participants limited to Integrated Science Course Directors) - Session 10

This interactive training program in curriculum design and evaluation consists of 6 foundational sessions and two optional training sessions. The aim of the program is to provide ISC directors and co-directors with instruction and guidance on curriculum design and evaluation principles to support their developing and or revising an ISC for VUSM. Participants should be prepared to develop/revise an ISC curriculum emphasizing foundational sciences and learner assessments by the end of the training period. Participants will walk though the stages of the curriculum design and evaluation model in order to develop/revise their ISC curriculum. The systematic approach to curriculum design will provide participants with the understanding and process of developing, implementing and evaluating curricula. Participants will receive intensive mentoring through the process and is expected to complete assignments before, during and between sessions. Participants completing the program will have created: a curriculum document and curriculum materials, and will have an implementation and evaluation plan. Participants can use recently developed courses, as well as current and future ideas for course development. Participants are expected to complete each session and all assignments
