2015 Old Fort Jackson Family Campover

Spend the night in a real fort and experience history first hand with your child!

For the first time ever at the Old Fort Jackson Family campover, kids will have the chance to train as soldiers from the American Revolution and participate in a reenactment of the 1778 Battle of Savannah. Adults will train as Civil War Soldiers and learn drill on the rifled muskets and 12 lb. howitzer and then actullay fire these weapons! Registration and tent set up will begin at 5:30. Dinner is served at 6:15 followed by the exciting activities. The night will end with S'mores and songs from the American Revolution. The next morning campers will rise, pack up their gear, enjoy a hot breakfast, and then participate in closing ceremonies.

Campers have the option to choose sleeping arrangements inside the fort's casemates, inside one of six period tents located inside the parade grounds, or to bring their own tent as long as it fits certain size requirements.  Sleeping arrangments are made on a first come, first served basis.  You will be contacted after registering regarding these arrangements as well as food allergy information, etc.

Pricing is $65 per adult and $45 per child.
Space is  limited, so register today!
