Sovereign Health San Clemente welcomes Dr. Bridgette Atallah, Psy.D.
Presenting on "Teenage acting out from a CBT perspective: Why teen behavior isn't always what it seems"
Course Abstract:
This course is designed to introduce the CBT model with regard to how it explains adolescent behavior. It will cover common concerns, like acting out, not attending school, and refusing to do homework, and how these scenarios may represent an underlying mental health concern. The course will then seek to teach attendees to assess for these underlying concerns, and basic beginning interventions if it is determined a teen's behavior may be related to depression or anxiety. References for more information and treatment will be provided.
