Our time in the womb and through the first year or so after birth is nothing short of miraculous. At this very early age, as exquisitely sensitive, aware beings, our little bodies begin moving in remarkable ways. Our earliest experience and movements in the womb and beyond establish foundations for how we will move, perceive and interact with others throughout life.
This seminar uses Continuum Movement to explore these early developmental movements and introduces their psychological correlates. We will move through basic developmental movement patterns related to the first year of life after birth, and discuss important post-natal psychological challenges that may also affect our movement. We will incorporate the gentle breaths, sounds, movements and awareness of Continuum Movement to support the dissolving of old patterns and facilitate accessing our original developmental blueprint. We will also be supported in our explorations by mindful practices of orienting to our present time resources and witnessing ourselves and each other from a state of being within the relational field we co-create.
