IDEA-TRN-2000
In cooperation and partnership with IDEA, this course provides a basic introduction to Counterfeit Mitigation as well as an introduction to IDEA-STD-1010, including training in methods for the visual detection of counterfeit and substandard characteristics, through a hands-on workshop. The training environment provides a unique opportunity to examine real components with live, on-site microscopic magnification to obtain experience in the visual inspection techniques of IDEA-STD-1010 and learn how to detect counterfeit components firsthand.
All Workshop attendees will receive:
- IDEA-STD-1010-B
- Copy of the Course Presentation
- EPTAC Certificate of Attendance
Choose from the following options:
- BUNDLE 1 (For OEMs and CMs Only): $995 (Expires April 7, 2015) Attend the workshop, receive a bonus electronic copy of the IDEA-STD-1010 plus the discounted IDEA-ICE-3000 Professional Inspector Certification Exam Fee (Regularly $1,490, a Savings of $495)

Prerequisites:
In order to view examples under magnification, students must have access to a laptop computer (students can share, 2-3 students per laptop) with the following minimum system requirements:
- Windows 98, XP, Vista, 7 or a Mac OS
- 512MB Ram
- One (1) available USB port
Upon receipt of registration, EPTAC will send a link for attendees to download and install the software on their laptops for the USB microscope. The registrant must download and install the software prior to the day of the course.
