Welcome to the 3rd National Safe and Together Symposium. We are very excited to announce that this year the symposium will focus on children exposed to domestic violence perpetrators' behaviors. We hope that you will join David Mandel & Associates, incredible presenters and experts from all over the country, and other professionals eager to learn how to help children when domestic violence is present. 

Held in Orlando, FL at the beautiful Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek hotel, we know this year's symposium will be a wonderful opportunity to learn, share ideas, and develop collaborative opportunities while enjoying all Orlando has to offer. 

This year's symposium will highlight:

OVW Grantee Approval Requirements

Grantees from Consolidated Youth, Justice for Families, Rural and State Coalition Programs have been conditionally approved to attend this conference.  Grantees are required to contact their OVW program specialist to get approval specific to their award and to ensure that a Grant Adjustment Notice (GAN) is issued.  A GAN must be completed and approved before grantees commit or expend any funds related to attending this conference.

Grantees from the STOP program may be invited to attend this conference and do not have to contact OVW for prior approval.  STOP sub-grantees need approval from their STOP State Administrator. Grantees who are not required to get prior approval to attend this conference should be advised to place a “memo to the file” in their grant records indicating the conference approval reference number.

The reference number for this conference is OVW-2016-MU-001. This number must be used by grantees when requesting approval via a GAN or in their “memo to the file”.  This approval and assigned reference number is for this conference only.

Due to the increased participation in this year's symposium, the Wyndam Grand has been completely booked. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista (only 3.5 miles down the road from the event hotel) for the nights of October 13th, 14th and 15th. The discounted rate Symposium guests will receive is $149 per night (lower than event hotel)
