  • Establishing ways to incorporate these trends into your events.

Kate Patay: Creative Coverings

Executive Director of Sales & Marketing, Kate joined Creative Coverings with over 15 years experience in F&B design, hotel/casino catering sales, special events and convention services. In her current role, Kate oversees the growth of the rental and sales division, as well as brand integrity; specifically through marketing efforts, customer relations, company trainings and overall client experience. Working closely with the design team to stay ahead of fashion and décor trends has contributed to the rapid and successful growth of the company. She was an integral part of Creative Coverings receiving Emerald Green Certification in 2012, giving them the distinct honor of being the only national linen company with this coveted eco-friendly designation.

Previously, Kate worked in the food & beverage/events industry in Western New York, Las Vegas and most recently with MGM Mirage/Eldorado Corporation at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino where she was responsible for large-scale conventions and social catering events. She also assisted with the opening of the Reno Ballroom for the Tri-properties and the City of Reno.

As Executive Director of Sales & Marketing, Kate helps represent Creative Coverings as NACE National Secretary/Treasurer, a NACE National Business Partner and Social Media & Trend Expert. She is also a founding member & Immediate Past President of the Reno-Tahoe Chapter, Experience 2011 Co-Chair and immediate past National Chapter Presidents Council member.  She is also an active member of ISES, ICA, ACCP, ARA, GPSWA and the EPA. She has been a featured educational speaker at Catersource, the NACE Experience conference, ISES Eventworld, the ARA national convention and numerous organizational meetings around the country. Recently, she was nominated as Nevada’s Saleswoman of the Year and honored as not only the Most Influential Person in Northern Nevada by the Top 100 Influencers, but as the “Person to Know” by the Reno Gazette Journal and one of the top 20 Under 40 by Special Event Magazine.
