Enterprising Women: A Business Symposium 

In recognition of Women's History Month, Baraka Marketing Solutions, LLC is hosting a Business Symposium. The symposium is designed to provide information that will help business owners and entrepreneurs. Be sure to bring an aspiring youth who may benefit from the Youth Entrepreneurship workshop. Includes workshops and lunch with a keynote address by Mayor William "Bill" Euille.

William D. Euille is the Founder/President and Chief Executive Officer of Wm. D. Euille & Associates, Inc., formed on April 9, 1987. He was elected the City's first African-American Mayor in May, 2003 and was re-elected Mayor in May, 2006, 2009 and in November 2012. Mayor Euille has received many major awards and honors dating as far back as 1994.  Most recently he was named Philanthropist of the Year 2000 from the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce; SBA's Graduate of the Year Award in 2000; Education Association of Alexandria's "Whole Village Award" (2001); and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year (2001).

March is Women's History Month and we are honoring them with this seminar. The presentation will highlight some contributions of African-American women to business and society at large.  This will be an informative seminar.

Audrey P. Davis is Director of the Alexandria Black History Museum in Alexandria, Virginia.  She joined the museum’s staff in 1993. Ms. Davis is a graduate of the University of Virginia with Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Art History.

Rudi Jackson is founder of Manterfly, Inc., a former Richmond youth development program that was responsible for helping more than 200 youngsters increase academic standing, learn vocational skills, and develop life and coping skills. Currently, Mr. Jackson consults with Premier Therapeutic Foster Care where he locates, trains and educates potential foster parents. Mr. Jackson has a heart and passion for teaching youth how to transfer their gifts, talents and skills into business enterprises.
