On any given day, a first responder or pre-hospital healthcare provider may encounter a trauma scene that necessitates treating victims of crush injuries and consequent sequelae. Recognition of crush injuries and timely, aggressive treatment can improve outcomes for those affected. Scene safety and team coordination are also important dynamics in the overall success of any rescue operation.
The Pre-hospital Crush Injury Simulation Training Course offers a blend of classroom learning and hands on simulation training in a realistic environment. Participants will be involved in live scenarios requiring active participation held on the Holy Name Medical Center campus and in our Institute for Simulation Learning.
