Pre-meeting Trainings (June 3, 2015):

Pass Point Setting: Adding Value to Those who Make the Cut
Pass points signify the most basic of decision points in a testing procedure. Pass points on employment tests are most frequently used to differentiate among those individuals who demonstrate possession of required job-related qualifications and those who do not. Topics of discussion in this course will include the legal requirements of pass point setting, the intended and inadvertent uses of pass points, and the background rationale of pass point use.

Position Allocation and Classification Made Simple
One of the many essential uses for job analysis data is the creation of classification specifications and allocation of new and existing positions to classifications.  This class builds forward from completed job analyses and provides information, techniques and tools to prepare classification recommendations.  Specific topics include:  developing a position description, creating class specifications, position allocation including reclassifications, conducting a job audit, and class exercises to put it all together.

Special Note:  This class does not cover job analysis nor does it include compensation.

Prerequisite:  Completion of formal training in job analysis or experience conducting job analyses with a reasonable sized sample of incumbents.

Training Registration:
Early registration (by May 12) will be $175/members, or $225/non-members
Late registration (after May 12) $200/members or $250/non-members

Dr. WRIPAC

DR. WRIPAC is a professional networking event that gives our members and guests an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another outside of the meeting.

For Dr. WRIPAC in Pasadena, we've arranged for a private tour of the Rose Bowl Stadium. Guests can delight in this unforgettable opportunity, as you have the chance to walk through a National Historic Landmark where countless moments in history have been made. Our tour guide will lead us through behind the scenes locations at the stadium, including the classic stadium seating, original 1922 locker room, the new Terry Donahue Pavilion, the Loge Lounge, the Working Press Box and more. Throughout the tour, we will learn about the iconic history that has taken place at the Rose Bowl Stadium, from the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame who played here in 1925 to Brandi Chastain’s game winning kick in the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final. Tours will not only be an outdoor excursion, but a historical learning experience as well. Stop and tour the roses of the iconic stadium that has rightfully earned its title as America’s Stadium.

Following our tour we will enjoy appetizers and drinks at Brookside Golf Club on their dining room patio which is near the stadium. The $25 Dr. WRIPAC cost includes the guided private tour, two drink tickets, and appetizers.
