April 19 Soirée Special "House" Concert:
A Brass Bacchanalia

If you love the sound of brass, you'll love the Waterloo Brass Quintet whose tone will bring the Briscoe Western Art Museum —and CPMF — to vibrant life on April 19.

This talented, up-and-coming quintet from UT-Austin, will certainly impress you with their "chops" and musicality. One of the premier ensembles coming out of Texas' university system, they will present a varied program that is festive, passionate
and expressive.

With Jose Pablo Moncayo's Huapango, a Suite by Erik Satie, Astor Piazzola's Libertango, and Enrique Crespo's Suite Americana, this will be a splendid way to celebrate Fiesta. Stephanie will be premiering Uruguayan-American composer Miguel del Aguila's "Cortando Limones" for solo violin.

In the ambience of the Briscoe Western Art Museum, this afternoon celebration of music, music-lovers, food and wine will be a memorable time for all who attend.

Please join us for a wonderful afternoon of inspired brass and violin
music, a buffet of hearty appetizers and delicious desserts . . . with fine
wine and conversation to add to the afternoon's delights, all surrounded by the Briscoe's wonderful western art collection. Soirée admission does
include free admission to the Museum, whose collection is available for viewing before the start of our 3 pm concert.
