Topic:
Ethics Course

Speaker(s):

Nancy R. Gire, CFP®, CPA, J.P. King Advisors, Inc.

Program Description:
Join us for an informative session while earning Ethics CE Credits. During this course, we will review the CFP Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct, the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, the Financial Planning Practice Standard and more.

After attending this session, you will be able to determine if a practitioner is providing financial planning or material elements of planning, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the required elements of a written agreement when providing planning services. You will be able to articulate disclosure requirements, including areas of compensation and potential conflicts of interest, and apply them in your practice. You will gain knowledge in defining and outlining elements of the fiduciary standard, while knowing when it applies (hint: most of the time.)
