Your Child Can be a Friendship Detective!

an interactive workshop designed for parents/guardians & educators of youth Pre-K and up

In this 2-hour workshop parents/educators will learn how to introduce & reinforce  fundamental social skills. Parents/educators will explore engaging strategies that help younger children learn how to:

¨ identify age-appropriate behaviors that are perceived as "friendly"

¨ read facial expressions & body language

¨ use & interpret congruent tone of voice & word choice

¨ observe social cues & consider options

¨ use the words and behaviors of a "good sport"

¨ listen with the whole body & tune into feelings behind the words & behaviors of others

 

Stephanie Meegan is the author of nationally  acclaimed programs on peer assertiveness, self-esteem, resiliency and peer pressure.
