April Discovery Workshops with Ms. Gina

Discovery Workshops are monthly parent child programs held at the Middleboro Library. Each month we will explore a new topic. Hands on activities, books and open discussion will be a part of each Discovery Workshop. This program is appropriate for children in Kindergarten - 4th grade. Preregistration is required.

This month we will be exploring Secret Signs and symbols of the Underground Railroad. The Underground Railroad was a network of secret paths and safe houses that helped slaves escape to the free states. Children will hear songs and stories about this historical time in history, and help to make a quilt by using the symbols that were used so long ago.
