arte italia welcomes Chefs Antonella Ricci and Vinod Sookar in June! Born in Ceglie Messapica, in Salento, Antonella's family owns the celebrated restaurant "Al Fornello da Ricci," which has been open for 47 years and held a Michelin Star for 19. Authentic Italian cuisine and its excellence are her passion, and her menus comprise an attractive mosaic of recipes, traditions and habits of the 20 regions of Italy. Antonella Ricci and Vinod Sookar, her husband, chef and business partner, met almost 20 years ago in his country of origin, the Mauritius Islands. Antonella's deep knowledge of ingredients and highly qualified techniques led her to teach at the Alma Cooking School in Parma, founded by Gualtiero Marchesi. Visitors come from all over the world to the small town of Ceglie Messapica to enjoy the true taste of Italy.

RANDOMIZED SELECTION REGISTRATION 
Regional interest in arte italia’s culinary program has been overwhelming! Our guests are thrilled to dine in the Cucina with visiting Chefs but our seating capacity is limited. Therefore, we strive to fairly allocate seating between new culinary guests and former guests that have participated in the past. We will utilize a fair system of randomized selection to assign seating for each culinary class.

You may enter a registration request for yourself and one guest (party of two).
Please provide the name of your guest at the time of enrollment registration. We will notify randomly selected registrants by e-mail no later than May 1, 2015. Once you’ve been notified, please secure your reservation by mailing your check payment as soon as possible. 

General Class Information.
For each culinary class, the visiting chef will prepare an authentic Italian dinner including antipasto, primo piatto, secondo piatto and dolce. The menus change for each culinary class. The chef will generally include fish, poultry, meats, dairy products, garlic, herbs and olive oil in the recipes.

All classes begin at 6:00 p.m. and are typically over by 8:00 p.m.

Tuition Fees: $60 per class ($55 for seniors 65+ and students). 
Please do not send a payment unless you've been notified that your registration request has been selected for seating.

All tuition fees are donated to local Catholic charities by arte italia. 

Classes are held at 442 Flint Street in Reno.
Parking is located at the rear of the building.
