Welcome to the registration page of the Conflict Management Coaching Workshop. Please join us for 4 days of learning new conflict management skills in beautiful Portland, Oregon. 

About Conflict Management Coaching

Conflict Management Coaching is a specialized niche in the field of coaching and conflict management.  It is a one-on-one technique, in which a trained coach assists people to effectively prevent or manage specific disputes and to enhance their conflict management skills.

Conflict Management Coaching has wide application, in the organizational context and for coaching individuals to participate in mediation, negotiation and relational conflict.

Participants

The training will be of specific interest to coaches, mediators and other conflict management professionals, ombudsmen, HR professionals, lawyers/attorneys, leaders, social workers, psychologists, Union representatives and others who want to learn the fundamentals of a model for coaching conflict.

Among other things, this 4-day workshop includes the following topics:

  • how conflict management coaching is different from other types of coaching
  • theory, principles and methods specific to the CINERGY® model of conflict management coaching
  • stages of conflict management coaching
  • logistics of coaching individuals about conflict
  • skills of conflict management coaches
  • applications of conflict management coaching
  • ethical guidelines and standards of practice

Outcomes of the Conflict Management Coaching Workshop:

  • an introduction to and basic working knowledge of conflict management coaching using the CINERGY® model;
  • an understanding of the types of skills required to provide conflict management coaching;
  • experience of the coaching model as a coach, coachee and observer;
  • knowledge about how coaching principles combine with conflict management principles and the application of this technique; and
  • suggested documents and information about the logistics of conflict management coaching.

Continuing Education Credits:

Coaches: This workshop has been approved for 19 hours towards Core Competencies and 8 hours towards Resource Development

HR Professionals: This program has been pre-approved for 25 HRCI general re-certification credits toward PHR, SPHR, GPHR, California, HRBP, and HRMP ecertification through the HR Certification Institute

“The use of this seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute of the quality of the program.  It means that this program has met the HR Certification Institute’s criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.”

Certification Process to Becoming a CINERGY® Certified Conflict Management Coach:

Workshop participants are being assessed to become a CINERGY® Certified Conflict Management Coach after completing the training and practicing the model.  The assessment takes the form of a two hour evaluation (either in person, by skype or on the phone) in which you coach one of CINERGY’s® Competency Assessors.  Participants are assessed according to core competencies provided at the training.  The cost at this time is $300, and included in the registration cost. Please contact us if you want to waive this option for certification before registering for this course.
