Introduction to the World Cafe:
A World Cafe Signature Learning Program

World Café is a living network pattern; it refers to a living network of conversations that is continually co-evolving as we explore questions that matter within our families, friendships, colleagues, and community.

This introduction to the World Cafe introduces the creative power of conversation and coordinated action for positive change through a direct experience of World Café, supported by introductory and follow-up sessions for insights and a deeper understanding of the process.

In three two-hour sessions you will experience the "magic" of a World Cafe with the guidance of an experienced host and receive a clear overview of the ideas behind this powerful method.

Learn about the history and global reach of the World Cafe, and become familiar with hosting etiquette and the seven design principles that underpin the World Cafe experience. Understand the contexts most suitable for a World Cafe, and get ideas and feedback on how a World Cafe could be most useful in your organization or community.

Handouts include an e-format version of the World Cafe book, and illustrated pdfs of World Cafe Etiquette and World Cafe Design Principles.

Amy Lenzo
Amy is the Director of the World Cafe Signature Learning Programs for the World Cafe Community Foundation. An early pioneer in the field, Amy has been hosting World Cafés online for over 10 years now, and hosting courses for World Cafe practitioners since 2011. She lives in California and offers training & online hosting services through her company weDialogue.

Access

Access to this course is via Telephone (if you are in the US or have a US phone plan). If you are calling from outside the US and do not have a US calling plan, you can use VOIP.

For VOIP access, we recommend SkypeOut, which is a Skype-to-Phone service offered (in either pre-paid or subscription plans) at very reasonable rates (approx 2.50 US$ for a 2 hour call). You will be responsible for the cost of the phone calls.

Alternative Economy Options

100% of the suggested tuition fee of $250 is needed to cover the costs of producing this training, which has consciously been priced so as to be as accessible as possible.

AND, we don't want finances to determine your ability to participate, so we've included a number of alternative economy options in your registration form. The options include an invitation to contribute more if you are able, to cover those who can't pay the full rate. Help make trainings like this one open to all who could benefit by contributing at the level you are able.

If even the reduced tuition fees are a challenge for you right now, contact us and we will be happy to talk with you about other options.
