Target Audience
This conference is designed for the community providers who may encounter a patient with TB infection or disease.

Conference Goal
The goal of this training is to build capacity with pulmonologist who may encounter and treat a patient with TB infection or diagnose a patient with TB disease.

Conference Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to describe the Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) Testing, describe laboratory testing methods associated with Mycobacterium tuberculosis Complex (MTBC), describe the diagnosis of TB using radiology as a tool, list the current recommendations for treatment of tuberculosis disease, identify drugresistant TB, identify common questions and answers arising in treatment of a TB patient, discuss the diagnosis and treatment recommendations for children with TB, discuss the spectrum of NTM respiratory pathogens and the clinical presentations of NTM lung disease, differentiate NTM infection from M. tuberculosis infection, review the current treatment recommendations for NTM lung disease pathogens, describe the identification and diagnosis of TB and HIV coinfection, describe the identification and diagnosis of TB and diabetes, Utilize case studies, identify potential presentations of TB and appropriate diagnostic approaches.


The format for this course will be lecturestyle presentations, with case studies. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
