Did You Know?
- Catholic Charities serves over 85,000 people a year through food assistance programs.
- 1 in 6 families with children in the Omaha area suffer from hunger.
- During the summer months, families have to provide two additional meals for children that would otherwise be served in schools.
- 67% of the families served at Catholic Charities Juan Diego Center food pantry are adults between 25 and 44 years of age with children younger than 18.
- Catholic Charities food pantries are located in north and south Omaha where food insecurity levels are some of the highest in the Omaha area.
- Catholic Charities food assistance to Walthill, Neb. serves the Omaha Indian Reservation. Walthill is in Thurston County, which has the highest food insecurity and poverty levels in the state.

The increasing price of housing, utilities and food has left many of our neighbors searching for ways to feed their families. Many more people are relying on assistance every day. YOU can help!
Join Catholic Charities for the 4th Annual Hunger Run 5k and Family Fun Walk on June 6, 2015!
All proceeds benefit the Catholic Charities emergency food pantries which serve over 85,000 families and individuals each year!
In 2015, we will have
- 5K timed run
- 1-mile run/walk
- Kid's Dash
- Awards for top 3 5K finishers!
Sponsorship Opportunities!
By sponsoring the Hunger Run, you will help fill our three emergency food pantries, as well as provide food for those in need through our mobile food pantries program. The Hunger Run is an ideal sponsorship and publicity opportunity for local Omaha businesses!
Sponsorships range from $500 to $5,000 and include free race entries and company logos on our website and event tshirt.
