You have TWO DAYS to PEEK OVER THE FENCE at some of the finest private gardens in the Yakima Valley during the Yakima Area Arboretum's annual Garden Tour.

Get ready to explore the stately 5 acre DeAtley garden (pictured above) with its formal rose garden, many water features, manicured lawn/hedges, and stunning views.  Surround yourself with the love that the Holwegner garden (pictured at right) generates as you explore shady garden rooms, admire handmade art, relax on the sun dappled front porch and count all the stars in this haven for a grieving family.   As you enter the beautiful Garfein garden you can't help but start dreaming of the kind of parties you would throw if it were yours, with its black and white color scheme, dining areas, fire pit, and waterfall, it makes the perfect place for entertaining.  You will feel your spirits lift as you stroll through the lovely Schumacher garden, where every inch has been carefully tended with bright colorful accents, containers, shady seating areas, perennial borders, and a garden area just for kids.  Lastly, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning Roberts garden with its beautiful paving stones, large mature trees, arbor covered deck, koi pond, and extensive plant material in well-maintained perennial borders, making this the ideal city sanctuary.

On Saturday treat yourself to the afterhours "WINE-DOWN" event held in the beautiful garden of Brian and Darcie Roberts (pictured at right) from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.  Enjoy wine, nibbling on light snacks, and recapping your day of touring with other garden enthusiasts.  Tickets to the Wine-Down are $15 and can only be purchased through the Arboretum.
