For Beginners to Professional djembe players and everyone inbetween. All are welcome! It’s FUN!

Come learn the technique of the djembe and getting the sound you always wanted. Alan will show you how to make YOUR playing better, faster, easier and more musical. This is a hands-on event where you will get lots of playing time and suggestions will be made for all students. You will leave playing so much better than you came.

A little ‘to-do list’ of things to focus on to make your djembe sound like a musical instrument will be highlighted. I hope you will join us.

For beginners to professionals. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. First timers too. Everyone will benefit. You don't want to miss this!

Will it be fun? Oh yah! Learning needs to be fun and we will weave in an out of rhythms and apply our new techniques. We will also visit soloing and improvisation on the djembe, how to listen to all the drums around you and how to get in and out of your expressions.

Please bring a recorder and maybe a pen and paper. And your djembe or use one of ours! If you record the session, you will get a LOT more out of it. Many smart-phones will work fine.
