     There is a wealth of symbolism in the Ashoka Chakra, the wheel at the center of India's flag.  Intuitively, it suggests motion, progress.  There is plenty of both as companies in the two countries build on a growing stock of bilateral investment and two-way trade that totalled $67 billion in 2014. 
     Where there are opportunities, there are also challenges and concerns.  While the Modi government has taken steps to create an enabling environment focusing especially on ease of doing business, a lot still remains to be done.
   
Many of these issues  are highlighted  in the recent report from the U.S. International Trade Commission on Trade, Investment, and Industrial Policy in India: Effects on the U.S. Economy.  In this session, we will look at changing dynamics at the heart of India's transformation as well as the untapped opportunities and obstacles affecting trade and investment between India and the United States.   We will do that with help from ...
