The State Board of Education is holding a board meeting July 7-9 in Seattle at the Museum of Flight. Public comment is scheduled during the board meeting, but the Board recognizes that those times may not be convenient for working community leaders, so we’re holding an additional open forum to gather feedback from members of the community.
Please accept this invitation to an extended community meeting in Seattle at the Rainier Community Center at 6:00. This meeting is an opportunity to have an open conversation with board members about the challenges facing different communities in Washington's education system, and help the Board review and improve future outreach efforts.
If you are unable to attend the public comment or community meeting, I am happy to respond to any written questions you may have about the board and its work.

SBE Community Forum at Rainier Community Center in Seattle

Please join board members for an open discussion July 8 at the Rainier Community Center on important topics such as strategies for closing the achievement gap, standards, and assessment. Please note that the regular meeting will be held at the Museum of Flight.
