The first in a series of two, this webinar is for institutions interested in how to get started preparing their digital content for preservation using the ArchivesDirect hosted service. We will discuss how to gather the right information about your content so that you are ready to process it through Archivematica’s digital preservation system and DuraCloud’s storage service and will include specific use case scenarios. Attendees will come away with an understanding of the steps needed to get born digital and digitized content, along with its metadata, staged for ingest and archival storage.

The second in a series of two, this webinar will show institutions how to process their content through a digital preservation system (Archivematica) and store it in DuraCloud. We will briefly review some use case scenarios discussed in the first part of the series, and then demonstrate how those use cases would be applied using the ArchivesDirect hosted digital preservation service. Attendees will see variations on the processing workflow along with the resulting archival package (AIP) and its metadata (METS.xml with PREMIS).
