Rory Green has been in the philanthropic sector for over eight years and is currently the Associate Director, Advancement for the Faculty of Applied Science at Simon Fraser University. Rory has also worked in major and corporate giving at BCIT and the Canadian Cancer Society. Rory has spoken at national and international fundraising conferences. Her session Conversations That Change the World: How to Talk to Your Donors, was selected as the highest rated session at 2014's AFP Congress. To help our donors make an impact, we must understand them: their history, their interests and their passions. To understand our donors we need to converse, share and listen. Drawing on her experiences as a major gifts fundraiser, Rory Green will provide theoretical and practical tools for connecting and conversing more deeply with donors and prospects.
