What is this course about?  The topics and questions covered in this course are those that the collective wisdom and decades of experience of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors board has determined to be essential in being faithful and effective in the ministry of biblical counseling and change. Dr. Allchin will give you solid biblical and practical clarity on these subjects. These are the questions and topics that ACBC requires you to answer correctly in order to attain certification. Who is Dr. Ron Allchin? Dr. Ron Allchin received his doctorate in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Seminary over 30 years ago, and has been recognizably one of the key leaders in the Biblical movement since then.  His faithful study of the Scriptures and training of counselors has helped God’s people rediscover that in an age of counseling experimentation and so-called experts, biblical counseling is still the most effective way to change lives.  His vigilant efforts at home and abroad have helped produce biblical counseling ministries (such as the Lowcountry Biblical Counseling Center in Charleston and the Biblical Counseling Center in Chicago), as well as international seminary programs in biblical counseling - Ethiopia and Cuba.

Who is ACBC?  The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, leader of the biblical counseling movement since the 1970's and has thousands participating in their distinct biblical counselor training nationally and internationally.  LCBCC is one of the certified counseling centers of ACBC.  Dr. Ron Allchin is one of the nine board members and a supervisor of ACBC.
