The night before receiving Torah, the Israelites stayed up all night preparing. Jews of the 16th century, exploring the joys of coffee, decided to replicate the experience with a Leil Tikkun Shavuot - a night of repair and preparation for Shavuot. 7:30 p.m. Dairy Oneg with local coffees! Why dairy? Answer(s) to be given between delightful treats! Along with coffee explanations.
8:00 p.m. What does holiness mean to you and would you have brought it with you to wander in the desert with? Bring an artifact, a momento, a story, a picture of something that reflects/defines 'holiness' for you.
9:00 p.m. The Movie, Bleu for Shavuot? Yes ... consider how holiness can be reflected in relationships, in cinema, and in the way we behave.
