Congregation Shearith Israel Annual Meeting 

Notice is hereby given that the 130th Annual Meeting of Congregation Shearith Israel will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Kaplan Auditorium.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m., with a light breakfast available at 9 a.m.

We would like to thank our Nominating Committee for all of their hard work: Sharon Levin – Chair, Brad Altman, Ken Bruder, Sandy Donsky, Cynthia Feldman, Norman Gordon, Marcy Lefko and Barbara Stein.

We will be acknowledging our outgoing Board of Directors for serving
Congregation Shearith Israel with distinction.

We will also be honoring our Past Presidents at this historic 130th Annual Event.

All members of the Congregation are invited.

AMENDMENT TO BYLAWS
of
CONGREGATION SHEARITH ISREAL

Part VII of the Bylaws of Congregation Shearith Israel (the "Bylaws") are hereby amended by adding the following Article 33 to the end of Part VII.

Article 33
Discontinuance

Upon a dissolution of the Congregation, its assets remaining after payments, or provision for payments, of all debts and liabilities of the Congregation shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government, for a public purpose. Such distribution shall be made in accordance with all applicable provisions of the laws of this state.
