Water Technology R&D Opportunities
with the DoD Webinar

Join The Water Council, Defense Alliance, and TechLink, for a free, one-hour informational webinar on Department of Defense (DoD) R&D funding opportunities for innovations in water-related technologies.

In this webinar, you’ll learn about specific opportunities with DoD, how to find them, and how to more effectively approach them.  You’ll also learn how to actively engage with Defense laboratories, how to cost-effectively access technologies developed in those labs, and how to become a Defense “insider” to be better positioned for long-term Defense and government contracting success.

This informational session will cover the following areas:

  • Introduction to TechLink, and its integral relationship with DoD
  • Summary of DoD SBIR/STTR (Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer) – over $1.2 billion annually for small businesses.
    • Program overview for DoD SBIR/STTR
    • Differences between DoD Components
    • Doing your homework to improve your odds of winning
    • Other agency SBIR/STTR, and the important grant vs. contract differences
  • The Big RIF (Rapid Innovation Fund) – up to $3M per project, small business preference
    • Overview of RIF and White Paper requirements
    • Water-related RIF opportunities open NOW.
  • Other opportunities and resources: BAAs, FedBizOps, and PTACs
  • Building relationships with DoD labs, and accessing their technology and capabilities
    • Finding the right DoD researchers to work with, and how to approach them
    • Mechanisms for collaboration, licensing technologies, and accessing their capabilities
  • Questions & Answers with TechLink, the Defense Alliance, and The Water Council

ABOUT TECHLINK

TechLink is DoD’s primary national Partnership Intermediary, and a partner with Defense Alliance, that has helped small businesses win hundreds of millions in R&D funding, and helped companies with new technology development resulting in well over $3 billion in economic impacts.  DoD spends billions on R&D, with over $1.5 billion annually that’s exclusively and/or preferentially for small businesses R&D, and with many opportunities relevant to Water Council members.
