Please join us for a one-day Nematology Short Course designed for Agri-Business, hosted by the Michigan Agri-Business Association and presented by the nematologists of the NE-1040 Multi-State Nematology Research Project!
This one-day Nematology Short Course will be held at the MSU Kellogg Hotel and Convention Center on Thursday, August 20th, 2015. It will begin with an overview of the Role of Nematodes in Agriculture and conclude with a session on Soil Health. The short course includes two breakout tracks: 1) Cover Crops and 2) Host-Crop Resistance Management and Seed Treatments.
There will be presentations by fourteen agricultural science educators/researchers from Michigan State University, The Ohio State University, Iowa State University, Cornell University and the Connecticut Agricultural Research Station. The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:45 p.m., with registration at 8:00 a.m. A cover crop demonstration will be held at the MSU Department of Entomology, Collins Road Farm from 4:15-5:00 p.m.
Registration for the Nematology Short Course is $120 for MABA members and $140 for MABA Non-members. On-site registration will be $150 and only check or cash will be accepted.
The 2015 Short Course is part of the NE-1040 Multi-State Nematology Research Project entitled, Plant-Parasitic Nematode Management as a Component of Sustainable Soil Health Programs in Horticultural and Field Crop Production Systems, organized in cooperation with the Michigan Agri-Business Association.
