The Hudson County Genealogical and Historical Society, in partnership with the Hudson County History Advocates, have created a series of walking and bus tours of historic areas and neighborhoods in celebration of the County's 175th Anniversary.
From former New Jersey Governor A. Harry Moore to former Jersey City Mayor Glen D. Cunningham Bayview Cemetery is the final resting places for many prominent and everyday former residents of Hudson County. This tour will tell you many of the surprising stories of this cemetery.
Group will meet at the main entrance gate on Garfield Avenue, near the small building on the sidewalk.
Getting there:
Parking: there is on street parking along the west side of Garfield Street, and limited parking in cemetery.
Public transportation: The cemetery can be reached from the Danforth Avenue exit of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. Climb stairs and walk one block west to Garfield Avenue and turn right.
