Meet the Entrepreneurs: Inspiration, Challenges and Strategies from Local Start-Ups

On Thursday, June 18th join peers and colleagues as the AMA Fairfield County Chapter hosts a unique meeting featuring two local entrepreneurs, Sustainable Indulgence and Differ3nt, as they share their inspiration, challenges, opportunities and the marketing strategies that have driven their success.
Sustainable Indulgence

New businesses are started every day. Today’s start-up might just be tomorrow’s next big success story. Hear how these entrepreneurs started with an idea, pulled together resources and plans - and then developed their plan to market their product, usually with very limited budgets.

Sustainable Indulgence and Differ3nt will give you insight into their success - including inspiration that led them to launch the business, the struggles they have had to overcome and of course, how they manage to market their offerings.

About the entrepreneurs:

Sustainable Indulgence

Sustainable Indulgence was started a little over a year ago by the Feldman family. Mark Feldman was the long time executive chef at Mrs. Greens. Along with his daughter, Remy, they recognized the opportunity to create wholesome and delicious handcrafted treats using natural ingredients. Sustainable Indulgence is a true family business with Patti Manzone Feldman providing marketing and design support while daughter Isabel helps with sampling events and son Henry pitching in on weekends. The Feldmans will present how their branding and marketing efforts have driven the company's success.

Differ3nt
Differ3nt makes unique fabric iPhone cases, all of which are “handcrafted in Connecticut”. They began as a Kickstarter-funded company and are now marketed entirely online and have been recognized by Life Hacker as one of the five best iPhone cases. Co-founder Jason Maloney will present the Differ3nt story, discussing how they have marketed the brand to date and his plans going forward.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn about the art of the entrepreneur! Make your plans to join us Thursday, June 18th: please register early so we can plan for your attendance and comfort.
