AFTER THE COLLAPSE: Eastport Pier PDH Tour, Dinner and Presentation network

ON A COLD WINTER MORNING IN DECEMBER 2014, THE EASTPORT PIER COLLAPSED.

Originally built 50 years ago, the pier was slated to be rebuilt; still, the collapse caught local marine

businesses, the city and state officials by surprise.

PAUL KOZIELL OF CPM CONSTRUCTORS will lead MBTA memberson an afternoon PDH tour of the construction site. Participants will be able to earn up to 2 PDH credits and learn about the fast-

track project that is critical to the region’s marine industry.

EASTPORT PORT AUTHORITY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CHRIS GARDNER will continue discussion of the pier replacement project after the lobster dinner with a presentation on the city and state role – and how the pier fits into the region’s strategic and economic development plans.

2 pm – PDH Tour of Pier Construction Site (meet at Eastport Port Authority, 141 Water Street, Eastport)
3:30 pm – Board Meeting – at Eastport Port Authority, 141 Water Street, Eastport)
4:30 pm - Reception, Eastport Chowder House
5:30 pm – Lobster Bake, Eastport Chowder House
6:30 pm – Presentation by Chris Gardner, Eastport Port Authority Director

Cost is $45 per person for your choice of lobster or prime rib.
