 PTSD:The Unrecognized Symptom

This presentation will offer an overview of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and how this may affect the patients and veterans we care for. The care and treatment options for those with PTSD will be discussed, especially those who are at the end of their lives.

Objectives:

• Describe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
• Identify team specific interventions that can be offered to those identified to be suffering from PTSD.
