Writing A Winning Business Plan
A step-by-step 2.5 hour workshop that arms each participant with the fundamentals on how to write an effective and winning business plan. This is useful for anyone in the process of starting a new business or for someone who started a new business in the past couple years. It also discusses the importance of the Business Plan, how to tailor it to the audience it's being presented to, and how SCORE will assist you as you develop your plan through free one-on-one mentoring.
This workshop will be interactive, and each participant will perform a number of exercises that will assist him or her to develop their own winning business plan. The workshop content will include the following:
Owning your own business is one of the classic American dreams; if you are committed to taking your new or existing venture to the next level, then having a winning Business Plan is essential, and this workshop will send you on your way to having a Plan tailored to your individual needs, and not one based on some generic template.
Presentors: Bob Bloom & Adrian Salee
Bob Bloom successfully launched both retail and consulting businesses, in addition to working in corporate positions and as a high school teacher. Most recently, he was co-founder, vice president and chief operating officer of INK & TONER USA, LLC, a successful West Palm Beach retail store launched in 2004 and that was acquired in 2014. Bob has degrees in environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, secondary education from Hofstra University, and computer systems from Florida Atlantic University, and has an extensive background in education, product marketing, business plan training, and sales training. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Keiser University's Business Department. Bob previously served on the Advisory Board of the IT Academy at Palm Beach Central High School, on the Board of Directors of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce, and on the Board of Directors of the International Imaging Technology Council.
Adrian Salee is an experienced general management consultant serving companies in a wide range of industries and organizational types over a more than 40 year business career. He also plans, writes, and implements needed computer software to formalize his consulting recommendations into working management operational tools. He is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a BME and has an MBA from NYU in Management & Accounting. Adrian was Chapter Chair of Palm Beach SCORE from 2009 through 2011, and is the author of several books and white papers on various management topics.
Both Bob and Adrian are Certified SCORE Mentors.
