About the Featured Speakers

Greg Brann:  Greg Brann, A Grazing Lands and Soil Health Specialist and multi-species grazier from Tennessee, has 36 years of experience with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. He raises beef cows, stockers, goats, and hair sheep on 320 acres of pasture, and also has a Christmas Tree Farm.
Greg earned his B.S. in Plant Science from The University of Tennessee, and has developed several publications, factsheets, and presentations on a variety of grazing topics. Other highlights of Greg’s career include being a Certified Crop Advisor through 2013, a National Grazing Conservationist in 2014, and being featured on the TV Show “Out On The Land”.

Russ Wilson:  Russ Wilson, his wife, and two children operate Wilson Land & Cattle Co, a 220-acre farm in Forest County south of Tionesta, PA.  They raise cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, and poultry by actively applying adaptive management techniques.
Russ is a member of the American Angus Association, The Continental Dorset Club of America, BQA, The Pennsylvania Angus Association, an Alumni Member of the FFA, and works with the local NRCS as an Earth Team Volunteer.  Russ also hosts on-site workshops to teach his unique techniques to other farmers and ranchers with a hope to make them better Stewards of the Land and more profitable.

This field day will take a more in-depth look at how adaptive grazing management techniques can reduce costs, increase production, and improve the land; using healthy soils as a basis for success.
