Janesville Jets 2015 Main Tryout Camp
You are invited to the Janesville Jets Main Try-Out Camp to be held in Janesville, WI July 16th - 20th at the Janesville Ice Arena. This camp will allow for the Janesville Jets to pick their team for the upcoming 2015-2016 season as well as have participants be exposed to both Division 1 Schools and USHL scouts.
The Janesville Jets are proud members of the NAHL (Junior A Tier II). The NAHL is a proven pathway for young adults between the ages of 16-20 to develop into outstanding collegiate and professional players while playing in some the nation's state-of-the art facilities. It is one of the only two leagues in the United States which implements the non-pay-to-play model. For more information on the NAHL visit www.nahl.com.
The Janesville Jets have worked hard at creating a pathway for developing and advancing players onto higher levels of junior hockey (USHL) or Division I College hockey. Over the past three seasons the Janesville Jets have sent over 35 players to Division 1 hockey or the USHL. This is more than any other program in the NAHL over the last two seasons. Goaltenders will need to arrive by 9:00 AM on July 16th as a separate goalie camp will be held July 16th- morning of the 17th. A number of goalies will be selected to continue on to main portion of camp starting on the afternoon of July 16th. All other players must arrive by 3 PM on July 17th. The camp will consist of a guarantee of three scrimmages. The camp will conclude with an All Star Game on Monday morning July 20th with meeting lasting till midafternoon. Please plan on leaving no earlier than 4 PM on Monday afternoon.
The host hotel for the camp is the Baymont Inn of Janesville. Reservations can be made by calling (608) 758-4545 and make sure to ask for the Janesville Jets Try-Out rate. Dane County Regional Airport (Madison, WI) is the closest airport to Janesville being 45 miles away from the Janesville Ice Arena. Chicago O’Hare and General Mitchell Airport (Milwaukee, WI) are both less than two hours away from Janesville as well.
Please be advised space is limited and registration for the camp should be done in a prompt manner to assure your spot. Please be sure to register with USA Hockey for the 2015-2016 season prior to registering at www.usahockeyregistration.com. Also on our webpage you will find the consent to treat forms as well as medical history forms which must be filled out and brought to registration or you will not be allowed on the ice.
