PopUp with a Purpose NonProfit Application
PopUp with a Purpose has one goal: to recruit amazing teen talent to develop and code a website for a nonprofit in three days. The project will be supervised and taught by the coding gurus at WebTegrity. At the end of the three days, the students will present their final website to the selected nonprofit and their parents.
The dealine to apply for the August PopUp event has been extended to July 8. Please read the information below.
Timeline
- Discovery work with the content, design and public relations pros at WebTegrity and PfitzPR throughout July
- All content and final decision on design must be complete by July 24
- Nonprofit representatives must be available to attend a presentation event on Sunday, August 9 when the new website will be revealed.
Selected nonprofits will receive:
- Professional input from experts in web design, content and public relations.
- A mobile responsive WordPress website of up to 20 pages with full administrative access to the new website so the nonprofit can continue to update and maintain the website post-production.
- Value: $9,000
Selected nonprofit will be expected to provide:
- Cost due upon selection: $1,000
- Access to the existing website's hosting company and domain name. Note: The hosting company must be able to facilitate a WordPress website/database.
- List of three goals for the new website, including the primary and secondary calls to action
- List of three websites with looks you like
- Design approval within timeframe provided
- All content for site within timeframe provided
- A nonprofit representative to attend a presentation event on Sunday, August 9
After completing the application online through the link below, you will receive a confirmation email. Youth Code Jam staff will review your application and respond by July 10. If selected, work will begin right away.
