XX NY ITF Taekwon-Do Tournament 

Dear Grand Masters, Masters, Instructors and Students:

Queens Taekwon-Do Center and I are happy to invite you to the 20th Anniversary of the ITF New York Taekwon-Do Tournament, to be held on September 27, 2015 at the Fitzgerald Gymnasium of Queens College, located at 65-30 Kissena Blvd. Flushing, NY 11367.

For 20 years the ITF NY Tournament has grown to be one of the largest ITF tournaments in the United States, with upwards of 400 competitors for the past several years. Since 2008 the Fitzgerald Gymnasium at Queens College has proven an ideal location, with 22,800 sq. ft. of floor space, accommodating eight 9’ x 9’ rings, and 1,600 people.

Every year we are looking for ways to improve the functional and competitive aspects of our event. Once again we will feature in the center ring all competition for black belts 13 years and over, using our official ITF electronic scoring system and real-time monitor. Also, this year we will be offering a new incentive for senior black belts only: Anyone to win first place in any division consisting of 8 or more competitors will receive a free set of Martial Arts Depot, ITF Approved gloves and shoes.

As part of our support for world-class competitors, we are offering free or discounted registration for any competitor who received a medal at the last 2014 ITF World Cup in Jamaica or 2015 ITF WC in Jesolo, Italy. Please inform us at the time of registration if you are eligible for any such discount. 

Please submit all applications and registration fees by September 20, 2015. 

Your participation in our event continues to support the world-wide effort to keep alive the legacy of General Choi Hong-Hi. We truly hope this year will be another to remember.
