About the Speaker:
Mark Eder is the LiDAR Manager at Lina T. Ramey & Associates, Inc. (LTRA), where he is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Mobile and Terrestrial LiDAR Scanning, from training, mission planning, safety, coordination, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and delivery. Mark retired in June of 2014 from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) after 32 ½ years of service, where he was the Supervisor of Survey, Mapping, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Service. Today, Mark is involved in many LiDAR projects all over Texas. Mark is responsible for the Terrestrial LiDAR and Mobile LiDAR group for LTRA. Mark's legacy to survey is being out front of cutting edge technologies from research, design, and construction of TxDOT's first GPS/RTK network to testing of all the LiDAR products from Terrestrial Scanners, Mobile Mapping Systems, Helicopter LiDAR products, and now Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). In 2003, Mark constructed the first of six RTK/GPS stations, broadcasting differential corrected RTK in Texas. In 2007, Mark took on the largest 6" aerial mapping project in the world, flying 13,711 square miles over North Texas. In 2011, Mark researched and tested LiDAR products and wrote LiDAR specifications for TxDOT. For his dedication in the transportation industry, Mark is regarded as a LiDAR expert in Texas.
